Arrival in Lhasa

Upon arrival at Lhasa Railway Station, your local guide and driver will greet you and escort you to your hotel in the city. The route follows the picturesque Lhasa River, offering your first glimpse of Tibet’s breathtaking plateau scenery.

After hotel check-in, the remainder of the day is reserved for rest so your body can gradually acclimatize to the altitude.

Altitude Reminder: Lhasa sits at approximately 3,650 meters (11,975 ft) above sea level. As oxygen levels are lower than at sea level, mild altitude discomfort is normal during the first couple of days. Drink plenty of water, enjoy light meals with fresh fruit, and avoid strenuous activity for the best acclimatization.
